We speak to Andy, the main man responsible for developing the Capture system.
Hi Andy, Can you tell us about your role here at Capture?
I am Head of Development here at Capture which involves managing a team who are currently enhancing the Capture App to ensure it is efficient as possible.
Myself and the team are also building a dedicated mobile and tablet app for practitioners and parents to make it easier for them to make observations on the go.
We are really eager to help all of our customers and take all suggestions and comments on board in order to make future system changes or improvements.
What attracted you to Capture Education?
I was offered the chance to build a team from scratch and to drive the company forward from a technology perspective.
Also, the system itself really excited me, I think it is a great idea that parents can interact with nurseries so easily. I have children myself and wish I had the opportunity to have the same interaction when they were in early years education.
What are the new features you have added to capture since you have started working here?
The team and I have automated customer signups which allows customers to manage their subscription and payment details themselves making it a lot easier for them to sign up/renewing to Capture.
Can you tell us a bit about Capture Essentials?
Capture Essentials allows customers to try Capture for an unlimited time without any commitments and for free. Customers have access to 1GB storage and can buy extra on a pay as you go basis.
I think it’s a great way for any customers who are wary of making the change to a digital learning journal or for those who do not have the budget.
What can customers expect over the next 12 months?
Customers can expect the following in the next 12 months:
A dedicated practitioner and parent mobile and tablet app for iOS and Android.
Parent messaging including scheduled events and reminders using push notifications.
Support for curricula from other countries including Northern Ireland and Scotland.
